Danny Thorn, Mike Jolly & Alex Marsh ft. Jasmine Hope – Bad Attitude

Danny Thorn, Mike Jolly and Alex Marsh have all tasted success individually this year with releases on labels such as 9th Floor Recording, Kidology, and of course Southside Recordings to name a few.
Now the three producer/DJs from Sweden, and the UK have come together with the haunting vocals of Jasmine Hope to produce a slice of deep and powerful house for the dance floor.

Danny Thorn & Mike Jolly met in Singapore in 2015 and immediately hit it off in the studio creating a number of exciting musical ideas, one of which found it’s way to Alex Marsh in London, whom Mike had been working with for releases on Fierce Angel and Stoneyboy. Alex enlisted the vocal talents of Jasmine Hope and Bad Attitude was born.
Over the course of the next few months the boys pinged ideas between London, Singapore and Sweden to create an anthem with some serious Bad Attitude!

Mike Jolly says, “As soon as I received the vocal from Alex Marsh I knew that we were onto something special with this track, and so we wanted to sign it to a label that would share our own enthusiasm and give it the love we think it deserved and so the fact that Danny Thorn had worked very closely with the guys at Southside previously was ideal for us.”

“Since signing the track I have worked with Southside on a remix of the Danny Thorn/Amanda Wilson track “Out of Time” and they were really a pleasure to work with – very knowledgeable about the business and quick to recognize a hit when they hear one!”

Rumors are that the quintessential quartet have a follow up in the pipeline as well as some more Thorn & Jolly originals on there way soon.

Danny Thorn feat. Amanda Wilson – Out Of Time, was released on the 19th of January 2015. It caught the attention of Andi Durrant, George Von Liger, Peter Gelderblom, Physical Phase, Stonebridge saying “Good Stuff!”, “This Is Tight!”, “Amazing Track”, “Great Track, Love The Vocals!”, “Sick Tune! Gj!” and the list goes on…

Now it’s time for the remixes.

Electrick Village drops a jumpy, hands in the air, EDM banger that fits every outdoor festival. Where’s all the teenagers with Converse?
Martin Eriksson is more about melodies, as he always is, and it’s huge! Lovers of Alesso should all have a listen.
Mike Jolly brings the tempo down just a bit to create that dreamy feeling for the pre-hours, or maybe a perfect fit with a Corona in the sunset.
Rodlund & Hewie goes ”down under”. Some kind of Melbournish sound but still not? It’s like a Foster’s together with your mothers Swedish meatballs. A great meal!

Danny Thorn feat. Amanda Wilson – Out Of Time

Danny Thorn is no newcomer to Southside Recordings, with four releases/remixes on our label. This time, it’s not a remix but a original track, with Amanda Wilson on the vocal.

Mr Thorn has been away for a while, seeking inspiration in Singapore & Kuala Lumpur as a DJ. But also to take his time, meticulously tweaking every part of this track.
Danny Thorn – ”I believe that the longer you have been into making music, the more effort you want to put in every track. You always put up new goals and want to deliver a package, as good as possible.”

“Out of time” consists of a strong synth melody, the same piano as in Mark Knight & Florence (how da hell did Danny get that? – Southside has been looking for it!), and that typical ”Swedish touch”

Oh. Forgot one thing. Amanda Wilson.
Danny Thorn explains – ”I remember when I was younger, listening to tracks she had sung and I used to say – what if one day, I can have someone like her singing on my track? So yeah, it’s without a doubt a big deal for me and a great milestone is reached.”
