Dario Trapani – Lose My Mind

Is this our new Godfather?

This time Southside Recordings visit Sicily, Italy to sign Dario Trapani.
Mr Trapani began his career back in 2002, specialising in progressive- and electro-house.
To date, his most important undertaking is the official remix of ”Beautiful” by Sophie Ellis Bextor, released on Universal Music.

It seems like most Italians from this special island is a bit of ”Mafioso’s”. He even fooled us. Dario has already released the track ”This Feeling” under the pseudonym Dual Dee here at Southside Recordings. But what da hell, there’s a good Swedish mafia too. We believe they have done some hits… 🙂

Now, on to the track.
“Lose My Mind” is a synergy between bigroom house, trancy pianos and super-saws. A typical, ”hollow” lead-song with lot’s of delay sets the tone of a track perfectly fit to compete with productions of Alesso, Dubvision and Sander van Doorn.

We proudly present ”Dario Trapani – Lose My Mind”
And please like it, otherwise we may find ourselves with a horse between the sheets 🙂

Martin Eriksson – Over (Remixes)

“Over” by Martin Eriksson is one of our most successful releases on Southside Recordings. “Over” received tremendous support from radio stations and djs around the world, including plays by Tiësto two weeks in a row on his “Club Life” podcast. Now it’s time for the remixes!

Martin Eriksson says: ”The support I got on ”Over” is unbelievable, it’s exciting and fun to see how a song can spread all across the world in such a fast pace. I got messages and comments with compliments on my song from new fans all over the world and I’m really happy and proud that people like what I do! Now the remixes are finally done and I’m very impressed of the remixers work, they complement the original in such a good way”.

Electrick Village gives the listener a high quality remix with an unbelievable bass-line in combination with a break full of emotions and mind-blowing melodies.
Danny Thorn puts his own touch on ”Over” with a funky bass-line and melodies that will turn heads wherever it will be played.
Martin Raay has created a monster with a hook that will make the dance-floor to a battlefield.

It’s a pleasure for us on Southside Recordings to release these awesome remixes!

Southside House Collective – Read My Disco

We’re not 20 anymore, at least not the three of us. Born in the glamourus disco-era that conqoured the world like an inferno, followed by the 80’s – the birth of house music, we all remember when the music was moore of a sexy, bootyliscious groove than just a heavy-metal-ish banging drop. As teenagers, out clubbing, we discovered Groove Armada, Todd Terry, Joey Negro, Kid Creme and all the other masters of, dare we say, real house music.

That’s why we made “Read My Disco”. We want people to start movin their hips, not just jump like bloody hell at the drop, or…sit down (?) on some arena.
Southside House Collective’s recepie is a jackin bassline, warm rhodes, lots of percussion, syncoped snares and a little surprise that many recognize but very few nails. And we won’t tell you.

As Gramma Funk says in one of our previous tracks – ”Honey the funk is in town! The dancefloor is where I go, to get my move on, to get my groove on. And when it is? I say God damn, that DJ play some wicked jams!!”
That goes for this track as well, just change ”funk” to ”disco”.
Or strutt your funky stuff to both.

Martin Eriksson feat. Clare Elise – Goodbye

Southside Recordings continue their journey with high-quality releases, this time presenting an exciting collaboration between their recurring artist Martin Eriksson and the talented Clare Elise.

Clare Elise is originally from the UK but now lives in Dubai and presents on the radio station Dubai 92.
She sprung into the spotlight in the UK after winning the Trent FM Fame Game and appearing in the TV commercial Sheilas’ Wheels.

Clare Elise started out her career in music at the age of 15 and since then has played gigs all across the UK & abroad.
She’s worked on stage with the likes of Coco Star, Chesney Hawkes, S Club 7 and other well-known commercial artistes over the years and musically she has fronted bands as well as working on solo projects.

Martin Eriksson is a Swedish based producer with an impressive track record with previous support from the scenes biggest dj’s & tastemakers.

With radio plays around the world, including the prestigious BBC Radio 1 in the UK and plays on Tiësto’s Club Life, he continues to grow into his role as an up and coming producer determined to reach the top.

Martin Eriksson says: ”Goodbye is a big room track full of energy and a strong melody. When I received the vocals from Clare Elise, I could not ask for more. I loved them and it was exactly what the song needed. Clare Elise is definitely an artist I hopefully get a chance to work with again!”.

Pol Ayke – Love

From the land of wine, good food, beautiful women and romance, Southside Recordings proudly presents Pol Ayke. He’s a 26 year old dj and producer from Paris but he gives us a track well fit to be played at the French Riviera and the well known small island outside the coast of Spain.

The track ”Love” contains the always awesome sound of the FM8 synth that was little bit of a trademark in early productions of Axwell. And it’s no surprise since Pol Ayke, as he says is ” addicted to house music when I hear music from kings like Axwell, Eric Prydz & Steve Angello.” Clearly the inspiration is heard – rhythm, chords and melody are all there. And of course a kick like bloody hell! This, together with the bassline just keeps it moving. Please could it never end?

We asked Pol how it feels to be released on Southside Recordings. The answer?
 – “Signing on Southside Recordings is a great honor. Sweden is the land of house music, with so many awesome talents. I love the productions released by Southside Recordings and the style of the label. I’m really happy to reach this level and that Southside has trusted me.”

Clearly this guy has a lot of feelings and a big heart. Thats why he calls his track ”Love”
 – ”It’s a word I like, it reflects the sensuality, but also the ultimate power of humanity”

You gotta LOVE the French!

Southside House Collective Feat. MissuM – Call Me Over

Back in 2008 it all started for the Southside House Collective trio.
Together with the power vocalist MissuM, they created “Six Feet Under” and “I Can Lead Your Mind”

There’s really no need telling the story about those two success-singles, because now, 6 years later, it’s finally time for the highly anticipated follow up!

The attitude of Call Me Over, in the lyrics, the massive voice and the production both on Original & Remixes, will move any home party and big arena, thats for sure.
Proud to call Agravic, Danny Thorn, Martin Eriksson & Mowiak over for the fabulous remixes

Southside House Collective Feat. Gramma Funk – Off The Wall

One does not simply team up with the legendary lady Gramma Funk. But the three Swedish DJ’s & producer guys in Southside House Collective, iTod, Junior & J.J, have proven their hit-producer talents lately, and their new single ‘Off the wall’ is just released, now with the vocals of Gramma.

The track is a funky, stompin’ track that refuses to be defined by the classic rules on EDM music. It’s breaking barriers, and leaping right into a new refreshing, laid back sexy, and addictive sound.

”I see you baby – Shakin’ Dat Ass” by Groove Armada & Gramma Funk, remember that? We sure do! And the remixes from Fatboy Slim? Oh lord! From that moment on, there was no ending in her success. Films, television, compilations and commercials – the song was all over the place! We’ve teamed up with one of our idols since the dawn of time, and we’re unbeilevible proud!!” Says the exited DJ collective.

Since the beginning of the three dance music masters collaboration back in 2008, they have been on the same stage as Axwell, Avicii, Martin Solveig, David Guetta, Felix Da Housecat, Fedde Le Grand, Swanky Tunes and many more, in both their home-country as well as in Spain, Denmark, Portugal and even Mozambique.

Having played on Nova Era Beach Party, Copenhagen Beach Party & Calpe Festival venues just to name a few, they’ve also got their fair share of radio-plays, in countries like Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain and Portugal, with songs and remixes like ”Can You Feel The Love”, ”Turn On The Radio”, ”Fired Up”, ”Six Feet Under”, ”Saxistic”, ”You And Me” and ”Tonight, Tonight, Tonight”. Their releases have got support by many big names like Roger Sanchez & David Guetta, and the new single doesn’t seem to let their new hype down.
